I made a painting at Berchem Train Station, spoor 7 (thanks Cazn for the invite), in between Defo & the Aerosol Kids. Inspired by the legacy of Gust, I decided to create a piece of art that pays homage to this incredible creature and his time at the Antwerp Zoo.
The painting depicts a gorilla in all his glory, showcasing his strength, intelligence, and gentle nature. His eyes radiate wisdom and compassion, reflecting the deep connection like Gust had with all those who had the privilege of witnessing his majestic presence.
Gust was more than just a gorilla; he was a symbol of conservation, reminding us of the importance of protecting and preserving these incredible creatures and their natural habitats. Through this artwork, I hope to spread awareness about the significance of wildlife conservation and the profound impact these magnificent animals have on our lives.
Let us remember Gust's powerful spirit, his gentle nature, and his remarkable legacy. May this painting serve as a tribute to his memory and inspire others to join the mission of protecting our planet's precious wildlife.
